IMOS Estuarine and Coastal Moorings – Western Australia
IMOS Estuarine and Coastal Moorings Western Australia will establish two monitoring sites in Exmouth Gulf to improve understanding of coastal dynamics in this ecologically important region. The Gulf faces growing pressure from human activities, development, and climate change, with a new marine park planned for its southern and eastern areas. Moored and bottom-mounted instruments will collect real-time and delayed-mode data on currents, temperature, and salinity throughout the water column, addressing key knowledge gaps and supporting ongoing research and monitoring.
IMOS Estuarine and Coastal Moorings Western Australia is supported by the Western Australian Government, Department of Energy and Economic Diversification.
