The IMOS Annual Highlights Document includes a selection of science highlights that demonstrate how IMOS research infrastructure was used over the past year for the benefit of Australians. It also features information about the use and users of IMOS data, a financial summary, a historical timeline to celebrate IMOS’ 15th Anniversary, and information from a return-on-investment analysis to assess the benefits created by IMOS.
“In our 15th year of operation, I am proud to say that IMOS is continuing to support high value research outputs and contribute to key areas of societal benefit, despite the ongoing disruptions of the COVID-19 pandemic,” says IMOS Director Dr Michelle Heupel.
“The IMOS community have banded together to deliver the program and produce the amazing outputs and highlights you will find in this document while navigating this period of upheaval.”
“The dedication of our partners and community have ensured IMOS observations continue to be collected to better understand and manage our vast marine estate. This report is a testament to their energy and passion as well as their commitment to delivering this important program,” says Dr Heupel.
