New release of the IMOS Toolbox is now available

The IMOS MATLAB Toolbox provides an automated and easy to use interface for converting raw ocean instrument data into IMOS compliant quality controlled netCDF files.

A new version of the IMOS MATLAB Toolbox – version 2.6.1 (https://github.com/aodn/imos-toolbox/releases) – is now available for Windows and Linux.

The IMOS MATLAB Toolbox provides an automated and easy to use interface for converting raw ocean instrument data into IMOS compliant, and quality controlled netCDF files. It is developed and maintained by staff at the Australian Ocean Data Network (AODN) and the National Mooring Network to support data handover and open access publishing through the AODN Portal.

The software can process instruments deployed on moorings (time series) or during casts (profiles), through both an interactive graphical interface and in batch mode.  The Toolbox may be used as a desktop application or as a library within a MATLAB environment.

The new release has new installation dependencies, data ingestion fixes in four different instruments, enhanced consistency in chlorophyll parameters, and improved testing. The complete list of changes can be found in the IMOS Toolbox GitHub repository (https://github.com/aodn/imos-toolbox/releases).

The Toolbox will now be release on a quarterly basis, with issues and enhancements prioritised by the IMOS Toolbox working group. If you wish to be included in the group, please let us know.

The Toolbox is licensed under the terms of the GNU General Public License v3.  We welcome user review and contribution back to the Toolbox – visit us at GitHub (https://github.com/aodn/imos-toolbox) or send us a pull request.
