IMOS receives the 2021 Marine Technology Society Compass International Award

IMOS was recently honoured to receive the Marine Technology Society’s Compass International Award for outstanding contributions to the advancement of marine science and technology.

The award was presented virtually to IMOS as part of the Marine Technology Society (MTS) awards ceremony at OCEANS 2021 San Diego-Porto.

With the MTS stating “IMOS is recognised as a high performing research infrastructure, both nationally and globally and has made significant impacts in terms of science excellence; technology innovation; training and education; economic benefit; and social responsibility.”

The Marine Technology Society is the leading international community of ocean scientists and engineers, practitioners, policy makers, and educators.

The Marine Technology Society promotes awareness, understanding, and the advancement and application of marine technology. Incorporated in 1963, the international society brings together businesses, institutions, professionals, academics, and students who are ocean engineers, technologists, policy makers, and educators.
