The primary access and mechanism for downloading IMOS data served by the Australian Ocean Data Network (AODN) is the AODN Portal. Some users however require a full unsubsetted data collection, which may be very large, and will be best done downloading data directly from servers.
The AODN have released a new access procedure for downloading large datasets directly from the Amazon servers on which they are stored, using either a graphical user interface or the command line. The full details of how to download a large dataset using Amazon S3 servers can be found in the AODN Portal User Guide.
