Did you know there are now Quick Video Tutorials available?
The videos are designed to be a quick tutorial to provide a visual overview for each of the steps in the AODN Portal. They have been produced with the aim of providing an additional aid for educational purposes, or for those that simply prefer visual learning.
The videos were created with the recent AMSA Conference Workshop 'How to access and use IMOS data for your research' in mind and added to the AODN Portal User Guide to enhace the support already provided. The four (4) videos initially added to the AODN User Guide were -
- Overview of using the AODN Portal
- Step 1 Searching for data
- Step 2 Subsetting data
- Step 3 Downloading data
To expand on general AODN Portal use and navigation a fifth video was recently added to the User Guid, Step 3 - downloading a gridded data set, and a sixth looking at non-gridded data is in development.
The AODN team are discussing the options for videos still to be created, these discussions include downloading directly from servers, and how to use the IMOS Matlab Toolbox.
