How does variation in regional hydrodynamics affect the productivity and ecology of the Tasmanian marine ecosystems?

What are the current and future hydrodynamics of Bass Strait?

What are the spatial and temporal dynamics of the Subtropical Front in our region?

The mechanism that seems most likely to produce this information is the continued development of international, national and regional modelling or local hydrodynamic modelling.  Supporting these modelling efforts by providing calibration and validation through in situ measurements or satellite derived and locally validated observations in the Tasman region is a key focus for the Tas IMOS Node.
