Paul Lethaby joins ACORN

Paul Lethaby has joined ACORN from late June 2013 following the departure of Sven Rehder. He will be based at UWA with primary responsibility for all the WA radar systems as well as the WERA system in SA. Paul previously worked in Pierre Flament’s  Radio Oceanography Laboratory at the University of Hawaii where he was responsible for the operation and maintenance of a high frequency radar network on Oahu as part of the Pacific Integrated Ocean Observing System (PacIOOS). He has a background in Physical Oceanography (an MSc in Applied Oceanography, University of Wales, Bangor, UK and BSc in Ocean Science with Hydrography from what is now the University of Plymouth, UK)  working in a number of research roles at Hawaii and previously at the Bermuda Institute for Ocean Sciences.
