Deployment Plans

 

IMOS, through its support of Argo Australia has commited to deploying 50 floats per year to maintain the Argo array in the Australasian region and in the Southern Ocean.

The map below shows the locations of floats that were deployed in 2008 (green crosses) and the planned deployment locations for floats in 2009/10. The blue crosses denote floats that are in the lab ready for deployment and the yellow crosses represent instruments that are on order and have been ballasted for the locations shown.
