Australian Ocean Data Network
eMII will use the infrastructure of the AODN and related infrastructure, standards and agreements. The AODN is a distributed data centre and employs data repositories at Commonwealth agencies that produce and use marine data, and repositories of the Australian Partnership for Advanced Computing (APAC). The AODN is also a key component of the BlueNet project (www.bluenet.org.au), which provides long-term archiving and discovery tools for marine data produced within the Australian higher education sector. The Australian Ocean Data Centre Joint Facility (AODC JF - www.aodc.org.au) provides the 'core' of the AODN, and has as its partners:
- CSIRO Marine and Atmospheric Research,
- Geosciences Australia ,
- Royal Australian Navy,
- Bureau of Meteorology,
- Australian Government Antarctic Division, and
- the Australian Institute of Marine Science (AIMS)
